Peruvian tequeños are snacks that are usually enjoyed at various family gatherings or with friends. Although of Venezuelan origin, in Peru they are a classic and are prepared with the very crunchy wonton dough and are filled with cheese.

Ingredients
200 gr fresh or Edam cheese
250 gr wonton dough
1 egg
Oil
Instructions
Cut the cheese into thin strips and place it in the center of a wonton batter.
With a beaten egg, paint the wonton batter around the cheese and wrap.
Heat a frying pan with plenty of oil.
When the oil is very hot, add the tequeños and brown them on both sides for 1 or 2 minutes.
Serve and enjoy.
They are perfectly accompanied with a good spicy sauce like or with Guacamole.
