Fruit Skewers with Chamoy

Indulge your family with a healthy and delicious recipe, we introduce to you the fruit skewers with Chamoy, they are really refreshing and their bittersweet flavor is perfect for those hot summer days.


Chamoy is a condiment of Mexican origin made from dehydrated fruit, chili, salt, and sugar, which gives it a flavor between sweet, spicy, and acid.


The Chamoy that is prepared in Mexico is made with apricot or mango, and can be consumed alone or as a sauce for fruit cocktails, various snacks, and even in drinks. You can find it in powder or liquid form. For this recipe, we will use liquid Chamoy

Mexican Fruit Skewers with Chamoy

In Mexico it has already become a tradition to accompany fruit with Tajín chili powder or Chamoy, this mix gives a unique and delicious flavor that is simply irresistible, especially during hot days. Enjoy!


Ingredients

(Serves 12)

  • 4 slices of watermelon cut into medium cubes

  • 2 mangoes chopped into medium cubes

  • 2 oranges, thickly sliced then quartered

  • 2 green apples, diced medium

  • 4 lemons

  • Liquid Chamoy to taste

  • Tajín chili powder to taste

  • 12 wooden sticks

Instructions

  1. Assemble the skewers by inserting the fruit cubes.

  2. Bathe with lemon juice.

  3. Accompany with liquid Chamoy and Tajín chili powder.
