These succulent Shrimp with Garlic are a favorite tapas from the region of Andalucia, Spain. A recipe that will become your favorite, simply season the shrimp with minced garlic, pimentón (paprika), and red chili.
These grilled shrimp will become a delicious appetizer, or a side dish if you double the recipe and accompany it with yellow rice. Enjoy this delicious and colorful dish!
Ingredients
(Serves 4 people)
400g of medium shrimp (cleaned and peeled)
1/2 cup of Arbequina extra virgin olive oil
3 Tbs. lime juice
3 minced garlic cloves
1 tsp. pimentón de la vera ( ground paprika)
1/2 tsp. crushed red pepper

Instructions
Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Season the shrimp with oregano and black pepper.
Cook the shrimp until they start to turn pink, about 2 minutes.
Add lemon juice, garlic, ground red pepper, and chili flakes to the skillet.
Continue cooking until the garlic turns golden brown and the shrimp turn opaque for about 1 more minute.
Transfer the shrimp and sauce to the serving plate. Garnish with parsley.
Accompany the spicy shrimp with yellow rice or have it as an appetizer.
